The Arrma Outcast 6S BLX 1/8th Stunt Truck is the Arrma to own! It’s the epitome of what RC is, but on alien steroids. The Outcast brings big smiles to the face of the driver and everyone who’s watching. After my first drive of the Arrma Outcast in “box stock” form, I wanted to give my opinion to those that are curious.
First off the Brand Arrma:
Arrma is turning heads in the RC industry. They keep coming out with vehicles that raise the bar and honestly have taken over the brasher market. They have evolved 6 chassis platforms on the 1/10th – 1/8th scale. The Typhon, Talion, Kraton, Senton, Nero and Outcast have been performing well owners are quickly becoming part of the “Arrmy.”
Now the Outcast 6S BLX
A mix of parts from the Arrma line up give the Outcast a unique driving style. The Typhon’s short chassis and the long arms of the Talion/Kraton give the Outcast some super maneuverability. The addition of the motocross inspired lugged Backflip tires give the Outcast some super traction coupled with the rotational weight to shift the truck around mid flight.
How did it drive?
Nothing but smiles! The Outcast was a true pleasure to drive. Plenty of power from the BLX 6S system and the suspension seemed to soak up everything. I did notice a bit of chassis kick on some of the landings, but I was being a bit hard on it. The tires…..Wow! Loads of traction and they seemed to hook up on any surface and kicked up sand and dirt easily giving even more enjoyment.
Did anything break?
No, not really. I did have the motor wires separate a couple of times after hard landings, but that was remedied pretty easily by plugging them back in. A couple of screws came loose on the motor mount sending the Outcast into RWD mode toward the end (check the donuts), but that was fixed in the shop later. No ordered parts is a good day in RC!
Would I recommend the Arrma Outcast?
Hell yeah! It’s got it all. Speed, agility, looks, durability, and for the price, it’s a steal!
